Biography
Frédéric Vitoux fut en 1968 l'un des premiers étudiants français à entreprendre une thèse consacrée à l'auteur du Voyage, parue en 1973 sous le titre L.-F. Céline, misère et parole (Gallimard, 1973). La même année, son premier roman Cartes postales (Gallimard) lui vaut le prix des Quatre Jurys. Grand prix du roman de l'Académie française pour La Comédie de Terracina (Le Seuil, 1994), il n'a jamais cessé de s'intéresser à Céline (La Vie de Céline, Grasset, bourse Goncourtde la biographie 1988) et à ses proches (Bébert, le chat de Louis-Ferdinand Céline, Grasset, 1976).
