Biography
Né à Carnac en 1907, le 'poète breton d'expression française', comme il se définissait lui-même, a publié son premier recueil, Requiem, en 1938. Son deuxième recueil, Terraqué lui apporta la consécration dès 1942. Auteur de quelque vingt recueils, il a reçu le grand prix de poésie de l'Académie française en 1976 et le grand prix national de poésie en 1984. Il est décédé en mars 1997.
