Biography
Thomas Mann est né à Lübeck en 1875.Prix Nobel de littérature en 1929, il est l'auteur de nombreux chefs-d oeuvre, comme Mort à Venise, La Montagne magique et Joseph et ses frères. Opposé au régime nazi, il quitte l'Allemagne en 1933 pour la Suisse et les Etats-Unis, d'où il lance de multiples appels à la résistance. Vilipendé par la propagande du IIIe Reich, il sera déchu de sa nationalité. Il meurt à Zurich en 1955.
