Emmanuel Guibert est l'auteur d'Ariol, du Photographe, de La guerre d'Alan...
Une fois par mois, depuis 1997, il grimpe à bord de la fusée de Sardine et fait une promenade de dix pages dans l'espace, pour le plaisir, avec son copain Sfar, avec son pote Sapin, ou tout seul comme un petit. Mathieu Sapin, l'audacieux a sauté en marche à bord de l'Hector après 750 pages de voyage intersidéral, et depuis, il a pris les commandes du dessin, et parfois même des textes de Sardine ! Supermuscleman ne lui fait pas peur, puisqu'il avait déjà affronté le gros Supermurgeman en combat singulier ! Mathieu, c'est aussi le rédacteur en chef du Journal de la Jungle et le tuteur légal de La fille du savant fou...
Walter est le coloriste de Joann Sfar (Donjon, Petit Vampire, Le Bestiaire Amoureux), mais aussi d'Emmanuel Guibert (Les Olives Noires). Depuis sa base secrète de Tokyo et avec l'aide de sa copine Yuka, ils donnent des couleurs à Sardine et ses compères.
