Biographie de Bertrand Santini Sous le pseudonyme de Bertrand Santini, Gurty a écrit et illustré ce livre elle-même. Fait remarquable, c'est la première fois dans l'histoire de la littérature qu'un ouvrage est entièrement rédigé par un chien.
Laurent Gapaillard est né en 1980. Ancien élève de l'école Met de Penninghen (ESAG) et de l'École du Louvre, ce dessinateur de talent et concepteur visuel débute sa carrière en créant des décors et des univers visuels pour divers longs-métrages, films d'animations et jeux vidéo reconnus pour leur qualité graphique. Passionné d'histoire, il explore dans ses dessins les rapports entre les hommes et la nature en donnant vie à un urbanisme végétal délirant ou bien malaxé par des forces géologiques. En 2016, son travail a été exposé au LACMA, Los Angeles. Parallèlement, il illustre des livres. Il a notamment illustré un autre ouvrage de Bertrand Santini, Le Yark, paru en 2011. Et récemment, les couvertures des quatre romans de la célèbre saga de Christelle Dabos, La Passe-Miroir. Il vit à la campagne, en Normandie.
