Biography
Né en 1808 à Paris, Gérard Labrunie prend le pseudonyme de Nerval en 1831. Il fait des études de médecine, se lie avec les romantiques et effectue de nombreux voyages. Il a une première crise de folie en février 1841, elles seront 'ponctuelles' jusqu'à ce que, au seuil de la misère, on le retrouve pendu près du Châtelet le 26 janvier 1855.
