Essai sur l'idée de peuple dans l'oeuvre de Michelet (Flammarion), et Michelet, les travaux et les jours (Gallimard). Paule Petitier est professeur à l'Université de Paris Diderot-Paris 7. Elle est l'auteur de La Géographie de Michelet (L'Harmattan) et Jules Michelet, l'homme histoire (Grasset).
