Romancière, poète, biographe, universitaire, journaliste et femme de théâtre, Agata Tuszynska est l'une des personnalités les plus en vue de la jeune littérature polonaise.
Elle a publié Disciple de Schulz (2001), puis Singer, paysages de la mémoire (2002). Son premier livre chez Grasset, Une histoire familiale de la peur (2006), " un livre capital " selon Paul Auster, fut accueilli par une critique enthousiaste.
