Prices posted on the Librairie Gallimard Montreal website are in Canadian dollars before tax and shipping and handling charges.
A 5% federal tax applies to all Canadian sales. It does not apply to books shipped outside Canada.
Prices are set by publishers or their distributors in accordance with the LOI SUR LE DÉVELOPPEMENT DES ENTREPRISES QUÉBÉCOISES DANS LE DOMAINE DU LIVRE (An Act Respecting the Development of Quebec Firms in the Book Industry).
Purchases are payable in full and in a single payment on invoice.
For any order outside Canada, all applicable duties and tariffs are payable by the purchaser at the time of the order.
The bookstore may change prices at any time and without advance notice in accordance with prices set by our suppliers.
Shipping costs are calculated based on the destination, the weight of the books and the total cost of the order before taxes and shipping and handling.
Free delivery is available for the following:
Receive a $10 rebate once your orders total $200 before tax. The rebate may be applied to any book priced over $10.
When purchasing books in the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade collection you can combine your purchases – after buying 3 Pléiade books, you will receive a 20% discount on the 4th.
Gallimardmontreal.com’s online loyalty program is the same as the program available in the store. If you usually shop online and come to the store to make a purchase, your overall purchases will apply. The inverse is true, as well. If you usually shop in the store and decide to purchase online, your total purchases will count for the program. Your purchase totals and rebates are non-transferable.
Our loyalty program has no expiration date. Whether online or in the store you may earn rebates and discounts as you wish. Be aware, though, that the loyalty program may not be applied to printed books or ebooks that are already reduced.
"My Account" allows you to keep track and manage your purchases and use of your rebates.
Orders made on Gallimardmontreal.com are payable by credit card, PayPal and with Librairie Gallimard gift certificates only. We accept VISA, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS.
Your card is debited when your order is shipped out.
Gift certificates purchased online may be used online or in the store. If your total exceeds the amount on the gift certificate, the balance is payable by credit card. If the amount of the gift certificate is greater than the cost of your purchase, the credit balance will remain on your account and may be used against your next purchase.
Librairie Gallimard will replace any defective book and correct any error with your order.
Returns can be sent to our store with a copy of your Canada Post invoice so that may reimburse the shipping costs:

When buying an ebook, you must accept Librairie Gallimard de Montréal’s terms of sale when confirming your purchase. After receiving our first email confirmation acknowledging the purchase and validating your payment, a second email will be sent to your account email address allowing you to download your purchase.
It is important to note that once your transaction has been validated, your order cannot be cancelled or withdrawn. When you have received the download or online links to the ebook there is no way to cancel your order and the cost of your order will be charged to your credit card or to PayPal automatically. This applies even if you choose not to download the purchase or access it online. Details.
